My sweet schnauzer was purchased from a breeder about 3 years ago. She was never registered, but both her parents were. I no longer have contact info of the breeder I got her from. Can I still register her and if so how?? Please help!! Thank you!!

11/22/10 Depends on the breeder and what your contract stated. Did she give you AKC paperwork to register her? If not then most likely she sold them w/o papers. Of course you can register her from one of the "knock off" clubs. Good Luck. Snowbound Schnauzers

9/7/11 Please don't get discouraged too quick. You might have lost contact with the breeder who sold you the pup, but AKC will surely have that information and are usually very willing to help if can. This is how they make their money by registering the AKC bred dogs! Call them or go online at www.akc.org. But, I think it is better to call and ask them and see if they will help you by giving them the breeders name and previous address or address where they lived when you adopted her from them. Don't give up easy, if the first person you talk to don't help you call back at least 1 more time if not a few and you will most likely get someone who will give you exactly what you are looking for if it is available. It is definitely worth the call. I wish you the best of luck and if you don't get much help, I can probably help you out so get in touch with me at my web site. Best of luck hun! Jim
