Inline breeding is where you are breeding back relatives to say a dog or a cat. Example:
Breeding a Daughter back to her Father
Or
Breeding a Neice to her Uncle
I used to breed and Sell APHA horses and I Inline bred a Daughter back to her father due to the heritage in her pedigree being deceased and in the end we were trying to keep the pedigree strong with certain bloodlines and at the same time better the conformation for showing as everything was a Champion in Halter classes.
I hope this helped your answer. And again Inline breeding should only ever be done to better the Pedigree of an animal or to keep certain generations in the pedigree because everytime you breed an animal the offsrping are diluted by one generation. Inline breeding keeps the generations strong and concentrated.
