We recently acquired our first Lakie. He is a purebred boy and was a beautiful reddish with dark 'saddle. We've had him since June and had him clipped twice. My question is why his color has changed from the reddish brown to a very light blondish color. I brush him often but since he was groomed the first time, his hair is so much lighter. Will it ever be dark again. We also got a Welsh terrier as a companion for our Lakie that is the reddish brown with the black saddle on her back. Will her color change as well? I really like the darker color but don't know what I did or didn't do to cause this. Can you shed some light on this?
