A Visitor asked the following question on 5/29/2007
We adopted a 6 yr old un-nutered Lab. He is very loving and listens very well on the leash. He was trained to "heel" and does this very well in the house and on the leash. But we would like to not have to use the leash eventually but therein lies the problem. He doesnt listen to any commands off the leash outside! I know the dog is intelligent he learned "down" the first day we had him. Why does he choose to ignore us when there are distractions and how can i get him not to?
