A Visitor asked the following question on 8/4/2005
We are debating cataract surgery on our 10 year old yellow lab who is completely blind and doing okay (not great) with it. She has diabetes, but is otherwise in good health. If the average lab lives 11 - 13 years, I assume she will reach the lower end of 11 years. $3,000 for 12 months of sight is a lot. Any advice?

Hello,
Sorry to hear of your situation. However to be honest and fair I would have to say that it is a lot of money for such little time. If you can afford to spend that, then great. Since your having to question it, I would say you shouldn't. I breed champion labs and I would have a hard time with the choice too.
