Havanese are considered among the more hypoallergenic breeds available since they 'blow coat' rather than shed like short-haired dogs do. However, the effect on allergies tend to be cumulative. So depending on how many 'challenges' eg trees, pollen etc are in play along with your dog affects your response. WE recommend keeping the pup in a puppy cut so it can be washed regularly in the heavy seasons. As always do consult your allergist.
