A Visitor asked the following question on 6/30/2010
My father passed away recently, and his GSP spayed female and German Wirehair neutered male are possibly for sale. How do I value them? They are winners at field trials and excellent hunters. My father once told me he had been offered $6,000 for the male, but I don't know how to be certain I'm getting a fair price for them.

For neutered and spayed dogs they aren't worth much.
You say they have won in field trials but I dont think fixed dogs are eligible in field trials.
I would say $100 rehoming fee is fair.

I would have to agree with the first post. Everyone tends to think their dogs are worth more jusy because they love them so much. Sorry to disapoint you but I would be more concerned with getting them in another loving home then to worry about the money.
