I have a 6 and a half year old gsp bitch who has been off her food for 10 days and is currently at the vets on a drip. She has had bloods and x-rays and the vets are saying that she may have addisons disease. Is this common in gsps and has anyone had any experience of the disease

I have not had it but have known of two GSP that have had either that and one that has had Cushings disease. I don't really have any information on it.

I know of 2. It is hard to diagnose, but easy to control. once on meds the dog will be fine. It seems to be more and more common.

Addisons disease is very rare in GSP's. I am so sorry for your GSP. Hope things are ok!
