A Visitor asked the following question on 1/16/2005
At what age should the ears on my German Shepherd puppy be standing upright?

3/6/05 A lot of times a German Shepherds ears will come up around 3-4 months of age, but will sometimes go floppy again off and on, such as when they are teething, under stress, or maybe for no apparent reason. If your puppies ears are not standing upright by the time he/she is a year old, his/her ears may never stand up the way they should. It is possible for a German Shepherds ears to never stand up right, but typically, they should. His/her ear size could be playing a big role on how soon they stand up. A larger eared pup will usually take longer than one with smaller ears. Hope that helps! Kristen
