My dog is sheppared and he is not depressed he does cuddle a lot and wags his tale when there is company but he just lays around all day. He is only 8 months old and this is good on some levels because he has hip problems. I need ideas of how to motivate him to be a puppy and have fun once in a while. Im 8 months pregnant and not able to exercise him but he never liked to run anyways because of his hips. What can I do? I want him to have fun and enjoy life more but I know he is limited because of his hips. So what are some other actvities for him?

Swimming is an excellent exercise that doesn't overly stress the joints, as well as just normal short walks Are you supplementing him on anything for his hips?
