1/25/08 Doberman are sometimes very possessive of their owners. My dogs are use to being around our family and this includes babies or young children. I am not sure that you will be able to trust THIS dog with a baby if he has already decided he wants to be aggressive. I've always known Dobie's to sense the new addition and protect the new family member. Dobermans are known to have skin problems. I've been very careful that my dogs don't have skin problems. Black are known to have fewer conditions of the skin. We have only black dogs. I would take your dog to the vet and consider treatment. I wish I could of been more help. MillerDobes miller

4/1/08 Try changing his diet to relieve the ithcy skin. A poor diet can also be a factor in behavior problems. If the dog is agressive to members of your family you need to seek professional help from a trainer in your area. Some dogs have issues with dominance, not necessarily agression. A professional will help you identify which your dog is exhibiting. Kendell
