A Visitor asked the following question on 7/19/2005
I adopted a puppy in Dec and was told recently that he looks very much like a canaan dog. In looking at the pictures on the website it looks as if he might be one. I live in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Is there a Canaan club or someone I can contact there to see if my dog is a Canaan?

Your can contact the Canaan Dog Club of America or the Canaan Dog Breed rescue. The Canaan Dog Club of America's website is www.cdca.org and you should be able to link to the breed resue from there.
