I HAVE A CHOCOLATE COCKER WITH TOPPAZ EYES AND A RED NOSE. I WAS TOLD WHEN I BOUGHT HER THIS WAS A RARE TRAIT. IS IT? AND DOES THIS TRAIT MAKE THE PRICE GO UP OR DOWN FOR A COCKER??

9/13/06 You're cocker is a normal chocolate cocker. The topaz eye color should change into a darked copper brown and may retain a slight green hint of color in sunlight, they will not remain this color unless it is an adult. As far as a red nose, this is also normal in a chocolate cocker. You want brown pigment with a brown dog, all other cockers should have black pigment. Sorry to be the barer of bad news but your pup does not have any rare traits and nothing about this should have made you pay more for it or it's pups. I just hope it is at the very least AKC or you may have got taken even more. Denice

9/15/07 Supply and demand changes the price of most anything? Chocolates have gained in popularity and are getting more common. A higher price on a chocolate is not uncommon? And, we all wish that those beautiful green eyes would stay!! Lorenne
