It is not up to your vet to decide whether your dog should be spayed or not...you need another vet and I would tell him so. However, if your dog does have eye surgery, I would not use her for breeding. Entropian is a genetic fault in this breed and the last thing this breed needs is more health problems.

Many vets push the idea of spaying when a genetic problem arises.
In my opinion she should be spayed.

Dogs with eye problems other than tacking that require surgery should not be bred. However that is not your vets choice to make and I would look else where for health care on my animals!
