I purchased a male Chihuahua (Sid) yesterday, and noticed that he has a pretty big over bite or smaller bottom jaw. Also his head is shaped different-the breeder said that he has a "deer head"? I know that she is not a puppy mill & Sid was checked by a vet & given shots which I have the papers to prove. My other 2 Chi's have the "apple head". So is there different head shapes and is it gonna be ok for breeding with my female? Thanks for your feed back. Sondra

2/2/07 Ofter a slight over bite or under bite will often be ok when permanent teeth come in. Ask your vet when you go for shots. I have appleheads and deerheads. Both are great. Just a matter of preference. You can breed any combination. Just be sure to choose wisely which dog you breed to which male to improve the breed. Your vet can advise.
