A Visitor asked the following question on 3/6/2005
I have been a Bouv mom for over 10 years now. They are the only breed for us. We would like the very large silver or gray pups(2) as I've had fawn and black/brindl. Any ideas on silver/gray breeders?

3/2/06 Most breeders will not place two puppies with a family at one time. The puppies need time to grow as an individual. When you raise two togeher, thery will love you...but will love one another more. Raise two a year or two apart in age and you will have very people orientated dogs. Anyone who breeds for color alone is breeding for the wrong reason. Careful concern should be given to health, temperament, conformation..color would be the very last issue of concern. Bouviers also can change color as they mature..a gray puppy today, may be the black dog of four years from now. You would be better off to look for a breeder who is breeding for all the right reasons..doing their health testing on the dogs, maintaining a record of excellence. I know of very few breeders who breed for'color'. Mary
