We recently acquired a basset puppy. My question is, do bassets have a hard time giving birth to puppies? I read somewhere that bassets are known to not be able to have normal deliveries. they usually end up having ceserians.

Hello,
Bassets usually don't have a hard time delivering. I have not had to have any c-sections with my bassets. C-sections are more comman with small breeds and snub nose breeds.
