Hi, I currently live in Canada and may be transferred to Houston, the climate for my Eskie (male - 9 years old) will be significantly different. He is very bonded to me and I plan on taking him, wondering what I can do to help him adjust to the significant change in climate. I have seen people get teddy bear cuts for their dogs but not sure if this will help him adjust to the much warmer climate. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

5/6/04 I would say the only thing you really can do for him would be to trim him down a bit. His coat will actually adjust on its own after a few weeks down there. He will shed down to a lighter coat to keep himself cool. Provide him with alot of water and bring him in the cool house if he is getting to hot. Kaleena
