Male malamutes can become sexually mature as easrly as 7 months, but that doesn't mean they should be bred that young. Most people prefer to wait until their dogs are two years old. At two years old your malamute can be OFA x-rayed and certified. You can also look into other tests such as a DNA certification and a CERF (eyes) test. The more healthy and well built your malamute, the better his offspring. You should certainly consider the results to these tests before breeding your malamute.
