When we place a puppy with a new owner, the pup comes with a one year written health guarantee covering any genetic issue that may occur on or before the pup's first birthday. In the event of a serious genetic issue that either greatly harms the quality of the dog's life or causes the dog to be euthanized, we guarantee a healthy replacement puppy of the same sex and same or similar quality, as determined by the breeder, from the next available litter. If the genetic issue is an expensive proposition to treat, but the family is willing to attempt to treat the pup because they do not want a replacement, we will pay up to the initial cost of the pup, not counting shipping or other expenses, toward the cost of vet care. We have never had an occcurence of anything that has required us to have to put these guarantees into action, but sooner or later, if you raise dogs long enough, something may occur and we want people to know how we would handle the situation if it should ever come up. It is our goal to produce only sound, healthy, quality puppies out of genetically tested, sound parents that are bred for breed standard. To date, we have been able to achieve that.
