We have several different contracts for new owners depending on the purpose for which the pup was sold.
If it is a pet sales contract, the pup will be sold with limited registration, obligations of the seller and the buyer are outlined in the contract plus our written guarantees are included.
If the pup is out of champion dogs (which many of ours are), then it will be on a spay/neuter contract along with the pet sales contract, which states that you do not receive AKC papers until producing proof of either spaying or neutering. This is done to protect the lines of champion dogs that we have invested thousands of dollars into helping achieve their titles. This contract is in addition to the pet sales contract.
If the pup is being sold with full rights, it will be on a show contract which will specify the number of times per year the dog is to be shown until championed. It will specify type of housing, care and when it can be used for breeding and under what conditions. It will likely be sold on a co-own until these conditions are met.
Interested parties may obtain a copy of any of our contracts as they apply to your situation. We will go over contracts in detail and explain the reasoning behind what is in them, which will be to protect the seller, the buyer and most importantly the puppy/dog.
