It's most important for me to get my Goldens health tested before breeding. I've heard heart wrenching story after story when people call me of a bad experience with a sick puppy from another breeder. Even from breeders who claim they have health clearances but didn't have the paperwork to prove it. My Goldens are tested and OFA certified on hips, elbows, heart and CERF eyes before breeding. My only American Golden Sofie, just has her hips done and she will be retired after this last litter. She has older litters without any problems what so ever. Now, all my Goldens go through these very important health test and if they do not pass one of them, I will not use them for breeding.
