Ask questions when talking to breeders... How long do your dogs live? At what age do you breed your females? Your males?? Ethical breeders will NOT use males until mature, or females while still puppies, although the akc allows this. We are committed to improving the longevity of this giant breed. Most breeders do not have dogs older than 6. Nor have produced dogs that live longer than 6. Ask about health guarantees.
