My New Owner Contract is: Mini Dachshunds are inside dogs only. They are too small to stay outside. They like the outside but cannot stay outside for long periods of time. They require a fenced in area, to protect them and you, so no one will steal them. They are pronged to have back trouble and do not need to be jumping on beds are furniture. They need steps up to where they sit or sleep. These pups should not get back trouble if kept from jumping and their diet is modified with a healthy diet, and no table scraps. These dogs make excellent pets and are good with children if they are raised up with the children. But keep an eye on the pups and the children, to make sure that the kids are not abusing the dog. They require lots of love and kisses, and patience when house breaking them. They are excellent watch dogs, so if you dachshund keeps barking for some unknown reason, you need to check and see what they are barking at. It may be a burglar taking you Christmas decorations. And lastly, if for some reason you cannot keep the dog, please find the dog a good home. You can always call me. I place rescued dachshunds.
