b) The buyer shall have 72 hours from the date of purchase to have the purchased animal's health checked and confirmed by the buyer's veterinarian at no expense to the seller. The buyer shall take reasonable and responsible care of the purchased animal during this health check period, further, that any diagnosis by the buyer's veterinarian shall be confirmed by the seller's veterinarian and that the buyer shall agree that should there be a conflict of the veterinarian diagnosis, or that the buyer does not want the purchased animal----that the animal herein shall be returned to the seller within 72 hour vet check period for refund to the buyer of the purchase price of $----------(US) dollars
-- The seller guarantees pet puppies against crippling Hip Dysplasia until the puppy is 26 months old or has been bred. If this puppy is bred at any time, all warrantees are VOID. On your puppy’s second birthday, take him/her to seller’s vet (or a vet that has been approved by the seller/breeder), Delhi Animal Hospital Delhi NY, to have the hips x-rayed. Send the x-rays to the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, Inc. (OFA). They will rate your dog’s hips. If your dog is positive for crippling hip dysplasia the buyer will be compensated, with the following stipulations: Proof of claim must be supported by the OFA report and a vet statement at the buyer’s expense. If proven, the buyer need NOT return the puppy, but must submit a certificate of spaying or neutering before compensation will be considered. Compensation shall consist of a replacement of the puppy with one of equal value. (If the original puppy is purchased as pet quality, it will be replaced with a puppy that is pet quality at the seller’s earliest convenience). If the puppy is purchased on a full registration as showable the puppy shall pass OFA certification but the buyer does retain the right to have the pup re-x-rayed 6 months (at no expense to the seller) after the initial x-rays to assure that the original x-rays were correct and these 2nd x-rays are also to be sent to OFA for a recheck. If the pup should indeed be dysplastic the buyer shall receive another showable pup of equal value after proof of spay/neuter is given or the pup is returned.
