2-YEAR GUARANTEE AGAINST PATELLULAR LUXATION, with conditions. This is the most reported genetic problem of Rat Terriers. If this does occur, stipulation of this contract requires that a licensed veterinarian see the dog/puppy, evaluated at 1-year of age, and documented of the exact condition and outcome of the dog. Seller must receive this written statement on letterhead showing the veterinarians name, business address, phone, license number, along with original guarantee and registration papers before buyer receives a replacement puppy. Seller has the right to get a second opinion to verify the condition of the dog/puppy. This guarantee applies to current dog/puppy purchase and is not transferable. This guarantee has limitations on the deciding factors of Luxating Patella’s. PUPPIES MUST BE KEPT OFF OF SLIPPERY SURFACES!!!
Other Genetic Problems covered by 1 YEAR Replacement Guarantee, based on use (show, breeding, pet) of puppy/dog:
OVER/UNDERBITE: Self explanatory-covered by breeder/show contract only.
DEMODECTIC MANGE: Hereditary non-contagious mange-Generalized.
SHOULD NOT BE BRED: Contact us immediately should this occur—covered by breeder/show contract only—with conditions.
HIP DYSPLASIA: Malformed hip joints—cause severe pain to animal-all contracts-contact us immediately.
CRYPTOORCHIDISM: Testicle retention—contact us immediately—covered by breeder/show contract.
SEIZURES: Caused by many reasons—contact us immediately—covered by all contracts.
It is at the seller’s discretion that buyer keeps the affected dog or returns it. If buyer keeps affected dog, proof of spay/neuter must be supplied before a replacement will be given. Each case will be handled on an individual basis—the outcome will meet both parties approval to the best of seller’s ability. Contact breeder even after the Replacement Guarantee runs out if problems arise.
