Following are health screenings often performed on breeding Chihuahua adults; choosing a puppy from a breeder who tests parents for health can help avoid future health problems in your puppy:
CERF Screening (Canine Eye Research Foundation)
Patellar Luxation Test - OFA
Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency (genetic test)
WARNING - TEACUP: There is no breed standard defining "teacup," "toy," "pocket-sized," etc. All Chihuahuas are in the Toy group and are held against the same standard. Use of these descriptive terms can be misleading, and may indicate the intentional breeding toward abnormally small size, which can produce health issues.

We specialize in AKC Champion Bloodline Blue Long Coat Chihuahuas. Here at Blue Chi’s Ranch we raise Healthy, Happy and Loving Chihuahuas that are bred to the Chihuahua Breed Standard. When we breed, we breed for QUALITY, HEALTH & TEMPERAMENT and are always looking to better the breed. We take great pride in each and everyone of our adults and babies.
Each and everyone of our adult Chihuahuas gets two complete comprehensive exams a year. At this time they get any vaccines that are due. They get Blood Cell Count/Differential, Blood Chemistry Profile, Fecal Exam, Dental Exam, Rectal Exam, Otoscopic Exam, Ophthalmic Exam Glaucoma Exam, Urinalysis, Heartworm/Lyme/Ehrichia Test and Dewormed. Once a year they get Dental Prophylaxis, Scaling, Polishing, and Flouride Treatment.
We are very proud of our Chihuahua’s lineage. They come from some of the Top Champion Producing Chihuahua Breeders in the country.
When you adopt one of our baby Chi’s you will receive a sweet, adorable, healthy, loving little puppy. You will receive a puppy that has been well socialized with dogs and children and will be pre-spoiled and pre-loved. Potty training will have been started. This training will be done both outside and in with wee wee pads. AKC registered unless noted in advance, 1 year genetic health guarantee against life threatening congenital defects, Current on all shots and dewormings, Microchip, if over 4 mo. when he/she goes to new home, Dew claws removed, Current Health Certificate (included if shipped), Travel crate (included if shipped), Bed (included if shipped), Blanket, Toy, Subscription to Chihuahua Connection Magazine, Designer necklace from The Bling Bling Boutique, Eukanuba Puppy Package which includes dry food, Cesar Puppy Canine Cuisine, Nutri-Cal – *Please read page on Hypoglycemia, Greenie, Dogswell – Breathie – Chicken strip, Wee wee pads, Revolution - Flea, Tick, Sarcoptic Mange & Heartworm Prevention - 1 Dose, Book – put together by me filled with puppy tips.
We DO NOT sell to pet shops, brokers or puppy mills. We ONLY breed Chihuahuas.
My puppies will be ready to go to there new homes at 10 weeks of age, not before and sometimes longer based on size, personal needs and destination. At that time they will have had at minimum 2 Distemper and Parvo Vaccinations and will have been dewormed and will have received there first treatment with Revolution, for flea, tick and heartworm prevention.Safe shipping is available within the United States and Canada for an additional, $250 in most areas. We will ship worldwide on a per quote basis.
