Following are health screenings often performed on breeding Papillon adults; choosing a puppy from a breeder who tests parents for health can help avoid future health problems in your puppy:
Cardiac Evaluation - OFA
CERF Screening (Canine Eye Research Foundation)
Patellar Luxation Test - OFA
vonWillebrand's Disease (vWD) (genetic test)

MerryMaker Papillons all live within our home as spoiled family members. They routinely visit nursing homes to snuggle with the residents. We do show them as time allows. We strive to produce genetically sound, intelligent, healthy pups with beguiling, outgoing personalities and a great temperment. Our goal is to produce excellent representations of this beautiful little butterfly dog. We follow our pups development after they are placed, and encourage our puppy owners to return for papillon play days. We are always available for questions for our puppy owners. We take breeding papillons very seriously, they are the love of our lives and we are very passionate about them. Our dogs have annual health exams at the vet, knees are examined and they are CERF screened against many eye diseases before breeding. We would be happy to answer any questions about ourselves or our dogs, or papillon questions you might have regarding the breed. Each pup is evaluated and priced accordingly, and will be placed as 'pet' (spay/neuter contract), or show/breeding quality (full AKC). We require that even show/breeding pups be family pets. Pups are priced between $850.00 and $1,500.00. Please visit our website for more information, health contract, etc. You may contact us by phone if you prefer (some people are not typists...) to inquire about available puppies. (We are expecting two litters-7 puppies by ultrasound-around April 1st, 2008, and are forming our waiting list now.) Thank you, Joni and Terry
