Our dogs have exemplary AKC champion bloodlines with Westminister Best of Breed winners in their pedigree, but we believe that good genetics and awards are not an end, they're just the beginning. Our pups are extensively socialized. They each receive daily handling and attention from the day of their birth. Our dogs interact from an early age with lots of adults, an armada of children, our 13 year old Labrador Retriever, and our Amazon Parrot. Temperment is critical. It’s your dog's personality, and the attributes you want are the same as you look for in a spouse: loving but not suffocating, trustworthy, elegant, beautiful/handsome, fun-loving, and a great companion. Someone you love coming home to, and that is always and forever our primary objective. But all this is still not the end, it’s just the middle. You also want a dog whose athleticism can fill your heart with the sheer joy of being alive, who could put the most graceful prima ballerina or the fastest NFL wide receiver to shame. The end comes when after 15 incredible years of companionship, your dog dies and you shed a tear on his grave and say "that was the best dog I ever had". THIS is the goal.
