Mai-Ryms Poms is a joint kennel owned by Susan Plouff and Shelley Wiemer-Martin, in Washington State. We each bred poms on our own, Susan under Maitai Poms and Shelley under Poetry Poms, but we joined forces for the betterment of the breed and for mutual assistance. Last year we had 3 champions, with many more being groomed for the ring this year. We recently finished our first for 2007, Ch Stewie! We are hoping to register our kennel name with AKC in the not to distant future! Susan started in poms in 1991, although she started with chows in 1981. Currently she and her husband Len show both Pomeranians and Italian Greyhounds. Shelley has been in poms since 2000, and we formed Mai-Ryms a year ago, after the untimely death of our #6 ranked Pomeranian. We breed selectively and always with the AKC standard in mind. Our goal is to have a Bred By BIS winner. Currently, Susan is working on her AKC judging application, which she plans on submitting in August 2007. Shelley is President of Lilac City Pomeranian Club in Spokane. Susan is past President of Puget Sound Pomeranian Club in Western WA. We are both members of The American Pomeranian Club. And together, we are Mai-Ryms!
