I breed for the purpose of improving the breed and usually will only breed a champion to a champion. All my dogs are checked for hips and eyes and most for hearing. They are certified clear before being used for breeding. Puppies are sold with health guarantees. Pet puppies are sold with limited registrations and must be fixed when they are old enough. I am a member of the Newtown Kennel Club and a member of the Tibetan Terrier Club of America.
DNA testing has recently become available for testing for Lens Luxation in TTs. All of my dogs have been screened for Lens Luxation.
A new DNA test has recently become available for testing for CNL, a horrible condition that takes the lives of adult dogs around the age of five. I am in the process of having all of my dogs tested.
Any perspective puppy buyer should check the OFA Site and see what tests perspective puppy breeders have screened their breeding stock for before considering one of their puppies.
