Meadow creek Border ColliesHe is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion. This quote sum's up in total what I feel for my dogs. They are seen as equal members of my family & because of this they are all genetically tested for problems known to affect the collie breed such as hips, eyes & hearing. They have also been DNA tested for the collie eye (CEA) gene. I will not breed any of my dogs before they have passed all of these tests. I also never breed my girls more then four times & never before the age of two or passed the age of nine. I sell all my puppies with a contract & lifetime genetic health guarantee. They have also had there firsts shots & have been de-wormed 2 to 3 times before they leave. I do not let my puppies leave before nine weeks of age, as it is better for them to stay with the litter so they can learn to interact with other dogs in an appropriate way.
I have multiple colours in my lines they are: Red/white, Red tri, Red merle, Chocolate/white, Chocolate tri, Yellow/white, Lilac/white, Lilac tri, Strawberry lilac, Black lilac, Black/white, Black tri, Black merle, Blue/white, Blue tri, Blue Merle, Solid white, Black sable & Sable. My lines carry all three coat lengths they are rough, medium & smooth. My dogs are bred for work & sport. I do not breed them to look a certain way or to conform to a standard. Because I believe when you start to breed for looks alone you might breed out the dogs natural ability to work. I breed my dogs for there ability to work & to try & improve the breeds genetic health & temperament . for more info about my dogs please call (519)443-5898 or e-mail alesiamccormack@silomail.com
