Down Home Kennel is a small family run kennel located on our 8 acre homestead in central Texas. We raise and sell soft coated wheaten terriers. Each puppy is AKC registered and comes with current shots, dewclaws removed, tails docked, and a one year health guarantee. Our facilities are spacious, providing each dog with over 60 sq ft of individual kennel space, as well as daily exercise in a 1500 sq ft grassy shaded run area. Customers are welcome to visit our facilities by appointment.
All our dogs receive timely vaccinations as well as all necessary vet exams and care. We do, however, believe that the best medicine is prevention. We believe that clean pens, fresh water, high quality food, and lots of fresh air and excercise contribute more to a dog's good health than antibiotics and chemical nutritional supplements.
We know each of our dogs individually, and we and our children have daily contact with them. This allows us to immediately spot anything unusual in their behavior, eating habits, etc that would indicate there may be a health problem. It also helps to socialize our pups.
