I am getting back to when I think the German Shepherds looked their best. We are now taking deposits on our mid 2008 litters, our pups go fast. We also have plenty of German Shepherd resources & information. My dogs are AKC bred German Shepherds Old Style (Old Fashioned, Original, Old World etc). A return to the good old days of the breed, with dogs exceeding 30" at the withers, and well over 100 pounds in weight. They are advertised as being "flat backed" and "straight backed", in reference to the excessive slope of some American show dogs and the roaching of some German show dogs. Yes, they are about $2000. and there is a waiting list for people who want this great dog there are very few of us breeding this type of dog. Although you might pay less for the German Shepherd of your choice from a pet store or backyard breeder, it's almost a given that in the long run, you'll pay a good deal more in vet bills and perhaps emotional bills (if the dog has to be Euthanized due to a health or temperament problem), than you would from a Lane's House Of Shepherds pup.If you would like to buy one of my pups I do need to ask you some qualifying questions. I hope you don't mind but it is for the good of the dogs and for your family.
